New Wine 2009
Last Week I went to New Wine in Shepton Mallet – Devon – what an experience. I went to last year and had an amazing week packed full of teaching and challenges. This year it was more teaching, more challenges and the most amazing worship by David Ruis. I hadn’t heard of the guy till I went to New Wine, but I had heard most of his songs the classics I will worship; Every move I make; Mercy is Falling. He is the most amazing worshipper. I went to his seminar in the afternoon as well and He talked all about true worship – how its not about the amount of instruments you have, about If someone likes or dislikes the drums etc. He gave the example 2 Corinthians 2:15 “For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.” He said in reply to this that we are not the aroma of Christ to non-Christians (we should not be making our worship so that non-Christians ‘like it’) we are the aroma of Christ to GOD. YES AND AMEN
