At Church this morning, I felt the heavens open, but people weren't stretching up or even had that longing to meet Jesus. All the songs were about when I stand in glory, we will see his face, and meeting him when we go to heaven when we die. But isn't it all about having that relationship with Jesus now. Seeing him now, having that hunger to see him face, to face.
I also noticed that St. Michaels Church believe in the word (well the majority of it) but never actually experience it, or step into that place because of Jesus' invitation. Dad spoke today on John 12:20-33, he was talking about what things have been defeated at the cross. He mentioned healing about once. I know we have to take under consideration that God sometimes takes people home, making us think that He hasn't 'healed' them, but God told us to stand on his word. When their was a storm and Jesus and his followers were in a boat. I believe he was teaching them and testing them.
Luke 8:22-25. "One day Jesus and his followers got into a boat, and he said to them, "Let's go across the lake." And so they started across. While they were sailing, Jesus fell asleep (what a coinsidence) A very strong wind blew p on the lake, causing the boat to fill with water, and they were in danger. The followers went to Jesus and woke him, syaing "Master. Master. We will drown" Jesus got up and gave a command to the wind and the waves. They stopped, and it became calm. Jesus said to his followers, "where is your faith?" The followers were afraid and amazed and said to each other "Who is this that commands even the wind and the water, and they obey him?""
Jesus taught about standing in faith and commanding even the wind and water to stop. The Bible says his followers, meaning all of us, his followers, should stand with Jesus and command things to calm in Jesus name.
This goes for healing aswell. The Church has been feed in a way that now they believe in healing they do not walk with the authority of Jesus commanding bodies to be healed. the Church has been taught so many times that God can heal. They have never seen with their own eyes that God does and will heal.
We get this theory/idea by using just our natural eyes. If we are constantly looking through the natural perspective, then we will not see God's plan/will/desire for us. Even sometimes we will go against what His word tells us. We see in the natural world that through science some cancer may be impossible to cure. But through our Spiritual eyes God's work and power is possible to heal any disease/illness. I was talking to a friend of mine from Coventry, his name is Jimmy, he reminded me that you need to open your spiritual eyes to see spiritual things (1 Thess) and reminded me that Healing is a Spiritual gift (Galatians 5:22) so what we can do is ask God to open our Spiritual eyes becuase no-one can understand or stand by God's work using their natural eyes/insights. AMEN
My everyday steps to a bigger relationship with God! Getting closer to his heart, breathing in his ways. Learning to stick with his thoughts, with his plans no matter what! Seeking to tell every person on Earth! The desire to lead people in Jesus' path, so they find his love, freedom and grace! The willingness to do whateva, and I mean whateva he says! Signs, Wonders, Miracles - ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!!
